About Rigid PVC plastic

PVC, the full name of Polyvinyl Chloride, includes soft PVC and rigid PVC. Rigid PVC plastic is one of the most popular thermoplastics in the world. It is low-cost, strong, and stiff, and standard tools can easily machine it.

Rigid PVC plastic offers low moisture absorption, excellent chemical resilience, and corrosion resistance. It also provides high strength, good tensile, flexural, mechanical strength, and dielectric properties. Therefore, it is used for sewage tanks, planting tanks, valves, flanges, and piping systems.

PVC plastic is easily milled, turned, drilled, tapped, and glued/welded. Therefore, it is also a popular material for equipment components used in environments with high corrosion.

Rigid PVC plastic is usually produced into sheets, rods, tubes, and custom profiles by extrusion or a complicated component with a small size by injection molding. The common colors include grey, white, and transparent, but other colors can be customized.
